Let's get Physical!

Ok. This has nothing to do with physical activities like exercise, etc. THIS has something to do with Physical Appearance! Yes, you heard it right.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. True. There are things, which are beautiful to me and not to others and vice versa. I, personally, have my own definition of beauty or beautiful. As a self-proclaimed artist, I have different levels of beauty. But there is one thing that will never beat the meaning of "most beautiful" to me, if you have... tentenenententen... Physical Appearance + Beautiful Personality. A person who has those two should reign a beauty pageant. I don't talk much about being beautiful and the likes, I just share what I know to my family and friends, am I selfish? lol. So this is an opportunity for me to share what I know.

In this blog, I will share how I do my makeup routine. I always remember what I have read in someone's blog or magazine, I forgot which, that you should not go outside your house without wearing makeup or even some cream to protect your face from all the hazardous stuff outside. Well, it is true that you need to put something on your face or skin to be protected, especially if you are way too vain. I can say that I am not that vain. As a girl, well I have my own routine, when it comes to hygiene. And I think every person has their own, I guess, especially girls.

These are my makeup collection, more of Dior brand. But I don't really prefer a certain brand, I do have Dior, Avon, Clinique, etc. Can you guess who bought these stuff? My father, yes, you heard it right. He bought stuff for my mother. Then because my mother is not that into makeup, she always handing it to me. hehe. Lucky, right?! From makeup to nail polishes to perfume, my father is the one who buys these stuff. Sometimes my mother. Actually, I don't really buy my own makeup but my parents, especially my mother. She will just ask if I like this, that, etc. and buys it for me. So sweet.

Just remember, if you like to go for a certain brand read articles or blogs about that or ask your family or friends. I don't go for brands, which I heard testing their products to animals. Yes, I am an animal lover. And please, TAKE CARE OF YOUR FACE. It matters especially these days. Well, I wouldn't go that far to lecture. hehe

This is my makeup routine, how I do my makeup every day, unless otherwise I will attend a party. I need to spend more time coz' you need to wear heavy makeup. hehe. I have learned to put makeup when I attended one of our OJT meetings at school. There was a time wherein the speakers taught us about makeup. Then every meeting, we need to put makeup and look really good, even be in corporate attires. From then on, I got more interested with makeup. I already like makeup before but I was afraid to wear it because of the fear of having rashes. Also the thought that it will cause itchiness and irritate my face. Until I have tried it, and now there is nothing wrong with my face. Thank God! I am now following different makeup artists through their blogs and learning different makeup tutorials. I like makeup because it is just like coloring. hehe. Btw, there are lots of steps in applying makeup, it depends on you which goes first. For example, eyeshadow before concealer or foundation, sort of those things. So, here are the steps:

1. First and foremost, you should have a clean face before putting something on it. You should wash  your face. Better if you are using facial wash on your face rather than soap, because it is harsher for your face.

2. Put your cream, moisturizer, BB cream, primer, whatever-you-call-it. This helps to moisturize your face and your makeup will not directly goes onto your skin. It has vitamins, minerals, etc, too. Personally, what I am putting on my face is Olay Natural White Face Cream.

3. I myself put concealer first. To conceal or hide those spots or those reddish things on your face.

4. Put foundation, whether powder, mineral, liquid, etc. This is the base of your makeup. You will see that the concealer will blend to the color of the foundation. Apply foundation downwards, as what I have learned, and evenly.

5. In this step, start first with your brows down to your lips. It is easier to have up-down motion rather than not having any particular direction. Draw your brows or just put lines onto your brows with the use of brow pencil, in black and brown colors. Personally, and to what I have learned, use brown-colored brow pencil than the black one.
.

6. This step, I usually skip this because I don't wear it every day. In this step, you will put eyeshadow of your own choice. I love putting eyeshadow because it is very colorful. There are lots of ways to put eyeshadow, just search for tutorials on Youtube or just on the internet.

7. I sometimes skip this, too, putting eyeliner. There are few ways on how you put eyeliner. You can see tutorials on Youtube or just on the internet.

8. Now, put some mascara. This is the step I never skip because it really makes your eyes flaunt.

9. After with the eyes, let's go to the cheeks. You can now put blush on your cheeks. This makes your cheeks more reddish and visible. There are ways to make the blush more natural and more appropriate with your face shape, just see tutorials.

10. After with the cheeks, we are now on the lips. Put your fave shade of lipstick. I, personally like pink or nude pink shade of lipstick.

11. After putting lipstick, put lip gloss. You can skip this, if your lipstick is already glossy. This helps to prevent having chapped lips.

Don't forget to use your makeup brushes. There are corresponding makeup brushes to your makeup. There are blush brush, angle brush and blending brush, for putting eyeshadow, etc. Actually in the tutorials I have watched and read, there are certain numbers called to the brushes and I don't like it, numbers, you know. haha. Also, don't forget to clean your brushes and other makeup stuff, like the foam you are using, especially everyday for hygienic purpose too.

There are steps I did not put in my makeup routine like:
- Putting highlights on the eyes with the use of silver or white or yellow or gold eyeliner.
- Putting highlighting powder on the face after you are done with your makeup. This adds glow to the makeup and also it shows a clean finished makeup.

This is the latest addition to my makeup stuff. Dior lipsticks. These are too cute to have. They are only small lipsticks, which is why they are called travel-sort-of-lipsticks.

Some pictures came from Google. Thanks G!
